Student Projects

You are a young student in master, and you are looking for a master project to be done at TUDelft? You may think about a Master Project in our Optics Group!

We are currently looking for motivated students for theoretical and/or experimental work. Our projects are among the most challenging and interesting you will have to encounter.

You are efficient at coding? Come to us! We are always looking for competent coder for our simulations tools

You like physics equations? Join us! Our core knowledge is dealing with equations!

You are not from the Applied Physics faculty? We are looking for students with broad knowledge: labview, programming, electronics, mechanics! Do not think we only take students with Optics background! We may have a project for you even you graduate from 3ME, Aerospace Engineering, EEMCS, etc...

You like to play lego? Join us, our optical tables and their components are exactly what you are looking for!

So think Optica, when looking for a master project. Our doors are always open to students!

List of different projects

Here are listed our current projects offered to Bachelor and Master Students. Contact us for more informations or for others projects.

Optics, lens, aberrations

  • Lithography and Optics System at ASML

We are looking for a motivated master students to work in the domain of lithography and optics system for the ASML. The master project will start as soon as possible. The student will be located in Veldhoven, and receive a remuneration for his work. Due to confidently reason, the project can only be discussed directly with the supervisor, Silvania Pereira. Please contact her by email or by visit her in her office (E018 - 015 27 82474)

ASML is the leader of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. Headquartered in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, ASML designs, develops, integrates, markets and services these advanced systems, which continue to help our customers - the major chipmakers - reduce the size and increase the functionality of microchips, and consumer electronic equipment.

TeraHertz

  • Applied Terahertz to concrete industry issues
    • We have project for a master students in collaboration with a multinational company to use THz for a concrete problem in an industrial environment. The project is based on a direct application of Terahertz Time Domain Spectrosocopy to be implemented in a factory line. The work consist on an experimental part and on a theoretical part.
Implementations of the findings will lead to a future prototype by the company.
Due to confidentiality reasons, more informations about the poject can be requested directly to Aurèle , Room E006.
