Biography
Florian Bociort (1961) studied physics in Romania at the universities of Timisoara and Bucharest, receiving his diploma in 1985. After first working in nuclear reactor design, laser physics and digital image processing, since 1990 his major scientific interest is optics. In 1994 he received his PhD from the Optisches Institut, Technische Universität Berlin, with a dissertation on gradient-index optics.
