Level 3 in Delft

Health Physics level 3

The course Health Physics expert level 3 provides a broad overview of modern health physics. All subjects of health physics will be discussed in depth during a series of lectures. The course also consists of a practical part which is mandatory. The final exam is a theoretic exam in which both the student's ready knowledge and problem solving skills in the field of radiation protection are tested. The duration of the course Radiological Health Physics is 15 days. On top of that, an average of 100-120 hours of home study is required to pass the exam. The level of this course is post-academic, so a scientific or technical degree at bachelor level is required.

The normal level 3 course starting in september is only offered in Dutch. During the second semester (January - May), the Health Physics level 3 course is offered in English as MSc course Radiological Health Physics (AP3371). This course is a part of the Applied Physics master track Nuclear Technology. TU Delft students and PhD's can enroll for this subject through TU Delft blackboard if they have the required education and a Net-ID.

Other non-Dutch speakers interested in taking the level 3 course can participate in this course as well. It is important to realise that the course is on post-academic level and that the expected educational level is a scientific or technical bachelor degree. Since this is a TU Delft MSc course, students and PhD's will be admitted before external participants. For information or enrollment, contact course coordinator Marcel Schouwenburg.
