Irradiations

The Reactor Institute Delft can perform various irradiations for you. The purpose might be to modify material properties, accelerate aging, induce radioactivity - or any other. Strict legislation is applied throughout when radioactivity is to be induced.

We can irradiate your material with neutrons, high-energy gamma-rays, i.e. photons from the reactor core itself, gamma-ray from an intense ⁶⁰Co source, positrons from the POSH or from a ²²Na source, and pulsed, accelerated electrons from the van der Graaff accelerator.
