Benjamin ter Kuile (MSP) wins UfD-Strukton Master Award

28 October 2009 by M&C TNW/MSP

The University Fund of TU Delft (UfD) and the Strukton Group (infrastucture and construction) grant three UfD-Strukton Master Awards, one of 5000 Euro''s and two of 2500 Euro''s each, to TU Delft MSc students who have contributed groundbreaking solutions and sustainable ideas for improving our living environment.

It is my great pleasure to inform you that our MSP alumnus Benjamin ter Kuile has won one of the three 2009 UfD-Strukton Master Awards. Under the supervision of Dr. Sasa Kenjeres, Benjamin has developed a computer simulation model for the prediction of wind and pollution dispersion in urban areas, with a special focus on the influence of vegetation. One of Benjamin''s most important contributions was that he made the model flexible and user-friendly enough, so that it can be used by non-specialist urban planners.

Ceremony
The award ceremony will be on Thursday November 12 in the main building of Strukton Group, Westkanaaldijk 2, Utrecht, at 10.30AM. During that ceremony, Benjamin will hear whether he has won the first prize, or one of the two second prizes.
