NUFFIC Huygens talent programme scholarships for Faculty of Applied Sciences students

21 May 2010 by M&C TNW/O&S

Four students from TU Delft have been awarded the Huygens Scholarship Programme 2010 Talent Grant (HSP Talent Programme), including two students from the Faculty of Applied Sciences: Julia Cramer (Applied Sciences) and Raoul Rosental (Life Science and Technology).

This year there were once again many high quality applications, according to NUFFIC, the Netherlands Organisation for International Cooperation in Higher Education. A total of 109 candidates, 33% of all applicants, were selected for a scholarship from the Huygens Talent Programme, and an additional 30 reserve candidates were also nominated. Julia and Raoul received a scholarship from the prestigious HSP Talent Programme for an exchange to, and a Master’s degree at, the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.

Reserve candidate
Applied Sciences student Ruben Schmidt was selected as reserve candidate for an exchange to the University of Waterloo in Canada. In previous years a number of reserve candidates have still received a scholarship because of cancellations by selected candidates. Unfortunately the NUFFIC cannot guarantee this.
