Jos van ’t Westende (MSP) obtains his PhD on ‘flow reversal’

As natural gas is pumped away, the pressure of a gas field will inevitably drop. When this occurs, the pipes begin to fill with water, leading to a dramatic decrease in production.

Dr. Jos van ‘t Westende (MSP) obtained his PhD on 14 January 2008. His dissertation, entitled ‘Droplets in annular-dispersed gas-liquid pipe flows’, examined the phenomenon known as ‘flow reversal’.
