Poster award for Barbara Kampa (ChemE)
15 March 2011 by M&C Applied SciencesPhD student Barbara Kampa of ChemE/PPE/CE has won the award for the best poster for promising young scientist at the twelfth Netherlands’ Catalysis and Chemistry Conference NCCCXII, which was held in Noordwijkerhout from February 28 until March 3, 2011.
The poster was entitled: ‘Synthesis of Gold Nanoparticles in Microreactors’, by Barbara M. Kampa, J. Ruud van Ommen, Freek Kapteijn and Michiel T. Kreutzer. The price consists of a plaque and €500, sponsored by VIRAN.
In her research, Barbara wants to develop microreactors for the synt0hesis of complex nanomaterials for use in catalytic applications.
