Ralph Smeets (NS) measures size and charge of DNA molecules

Using a hole of about 10 nanometres, a set of molecules and a handful of ions, ir. Ralph Smeets has managed to measure the size and charge of the DNA molecules. This technique is a promising development on the road to cheap DNA chips.
