Yeast researcher in the spotlight

04 November 2010 by M&C Applied Sciences/TU Delft Library

TU Delft is overflowing with scientific talent. Many of our scientists and students perform to exceptionally high standards and are often rewarded with prizes or honours of various kinds.

To raise awareness of what a remarkable contribution they make, TU Delft Library is making the work of exceptional scientists available online in the TU Delft Repository.

In 2010, the yeast Pichia stipitis was renamed Scheffersomyces stipitis in honour of the scientist Lex Scheffers (Department Biotechnology) and the valuable mycological research that he has carried out. TU Delft Library wants to highlights his achievements and therefore published his work open access in the TU Delft Repository.

You can see Lex Scheffers’ work in the TU Delft Repository via www.library.tudelft.nl/scheffers.
