Second generation bio-ethanol in the Netherlands
27 February 2007 by TNWToday | M&CRoyal Nedalco and the TU Delft hold a press conference at the TU Delft on Thursday, 1 March, as a result of Nedalco''s objective to build a plant in Sas van Gent for the production of second generation bio-ethanol.
Ger Bemer (from Royal Nedalco) and Colin South (from the Mascoma Corporation in the U.S.) and Professor Karel Luyben (Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences), addressed such topics as the bio-ethanol market in both Europe and the U.S., developments related to second-generation bio-ethanol, and the technological collaboration among the parties involved. Ger Bemer also presented Nedalco’s investment plans for the upcoming period.
