VLLAIR put into operation

The establishment of the Van Leeuwenhoek Laboratory for Advanced Imaging Research, VLLAIR for short, is in its final phase. About three years ago, professor Pieter Kruit got the idea that it would be good to bring microscopy setups of the department of Imaging Physics together. Away from the dark, scattered labs located throughout the Applied Physics Building, and into a joint and open space, which would encourage collaboration and innovation. Now, this vision has almost been realized.

The official opening will follow later. For the moment, you can see several pictures of the relocation of experimental set-ups to VLLAIR below.
