Willem Haverkort (MSP) wins Unilever Research Award
26 October 2009 by M&C TNW/MSPEach year, Unilever Netherlands grants 13 so called Research Prizes to MSc students that have obtained "exceptional achievements in the final part of their studies". One student from each of the 13 Dutch Universities is selected for the prize, which consists of a sculpture and a cheque of 2500 Euro''s.
In the selection of the winners, both the grades obtained for regular coursework and the achievements during the MSc thesis research play an important role. With respect to the latter, discriminating factors are "initiative, creativity, originality and indepence".
This year a Unilever Research Award has been awarded to MSP graduate ir. Willem Haverkort, who performed his MSc studies under the supervision of Dr. Sasa Kenjeres.
The award ceremony will take place on Monday 7 December in the Unilever Research laboratory in Vlaardingen. More details as to the precise time will follow later.
