Costs and expenses

Costs and Expenses

The Faculty of Applied Sciences typically only offers partial scholarships. Scholarship recipients are obliged to pay the remaining amount from their own resources. Next to the tuition fee, the cost of living and studying is estimated to be between €850 and €1,100 per month. This includes such things as: food, accommodation, transport, books, compulsory health insurance, social life expenses and study trip costs. In addition, students will need approximately €1500 to cover all initial settling in expenses.

Work and Part-time jobs

Although the Dutch law allows students to work up to 10 hours per week, in reality is is very difficult for non-Dutch speakers to get a part-time job. Students are advised that they cannot rely on finding a part-time job in the Netherlands during their studies and must secure all funds needed before coming to TU Delft.
