Grading system
TU Delft uses the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) employed by all universities in the European Union. One academic year consists of 60 ECTS.
Language requirements
All MSc programmes at TU Delft are taught in English; proficiency in English is therefore of the utmost importance.
For applicants whose mother tongue is a language other than English and/or who have not followed all their secondary and tertiary education in English:
- A TOEFL ** (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of at least 550 (paper-based test) or 213 (computer-based test) or 90 (internet based TOEFL). Please note that we do not accept 'Institutional TOEFL' tests except for the one organised and certified by the Netherlands Education Support Office (NEC) in Jakarta, or
- IELTS ** (academic version) overall Band score of at least 6.5.
