Quantitative Imaging
The mission of the Quantitative Imaging (QI) Group is to invent new image-based measurement principles through a combination of imaging physics and digital imaging leading to novel imaging solutions and algorithms for image processing, image analysis, image reconstruction, and image recognition. Our fundamental approach is often applied to selected applications in Life Sciences and Health in close collaboration with leading industrial parties and top university medical centers. The core competence of the group is on extracting quantitative information from multi-dimensional image data. Important contributions herein have been made to the field of digital measurement theory, non-linear image filtering, quantitative microscopy and medical image analysis. We offer a stimulating academic climate for collaborative multi-disciplinary research and for training bachelor, master, and Ph.D. students in the modern aspects of engineering physics and imaging sciences.
