Animation 350 years of light microscopy in Delft

Check out this animation with a starring-role for our researchers Bernd Rieger and Sjoerd Stallinga. The animation shows 350 years of light microscopy history. From the earliest days of van Leeuwenhoek to the Nobel prize in 2014 and current developments at TU Delft. 

Quantitative Imaging

In Quantitative Imaging (QI) we invent and realize image-based measurement principles and instruments based on computational imaging in nanoscopy, (integrated) biophotonics and biomedical imaging. We develop methods and image processing algorithms to study fundamental questions in life sciences and achieve differential diagnosis in healthcare.

ImPhys PhD student Tom Callewaert is imaging famous paintings at the Gallery of Honour of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam with optical coherence tomography. Prof. Lidke is currently with the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque USA. He received his PhD from the University of Minnesota in 2002 on experimental low temperature physics.
